Welcome back to another Cozy Tarot Reading! How was everyone’s week?
My week was fairly busy, but also relaxing. Yesterday I watched this movie from 1988 called Earth Girls Are Easy. It was a hilarious alien musical, rom-com kind of movie and had some great actors in it before they really made a name for themselves.
I’m not that into musicals tbh, it really depends on the movie, but I love 80s music, so this was really good. Any who, I just wanted to share a funny movie because I hadn’t seen it before.
Now let's get into the reading!
Cozy tarot Sunday is a week a head reading that I post every Sunday! The reading encompasses a focus for the week, a way to embrace the focus, a challenge to overcome, and a card for self-care for the week.
For the month of February, I’ll be using the Song of the Grandmothers Oracle by Kara Simons and illustrated by Mari in the Sky. This will be paired with The Gentle Tarot by Mari in the Sky.
As always for the self-care portion of the reading, I’ll be sharing the self-care activities from the book Tarot for Self-Care by Minerva Siegel and published by Adams Media.

1- Focus for the week. Grandmother Elephant - community
This week’s focus is community, being with those you find support and togetherness in. But it can also be about building those connection with people around you and building a community. There’s a part in the guidebook that I really like that says, “you do not have to do everything by yourself.”2 Which I find very true because you don’t. You can if you want to, but sometimes it’s nicer to not have to. Though, it can be hard to reach out to others in the community sometimes. Since we can feel a sense of burden on others. But believe that if your community is strong, there’s no need to feel like a sense of burden on others, or feel guilty for needing others. Reach out and form that sense of togetherness.
2- How to embrace the focus? The moon
With the moon you want to let go of the uncomfortable. As stated above, it can be sometimes hard to reach out to others, even uncomfortable. But when you move past the uncomfortable and trust your intuition and your community, you find that everything is okay and people are truly there for you. Accept that. Accept what is waiting for you.
3- A challenge of the week. 6 of cups
The energy of the 6 of cups in this position feels more like reversed energy. Being stuck in or focused on the past in a way that hinders your happiness. Remember, you don’t need to be or do anything alone if you don’t want to. But when you are so hung up on the past, you end up pushing away the people you need the most. This can be a challenge in terms of community and being with others or needing others.
4- Self-care of the week. Ace of wands
The self-care activities are in terms of mind, body, and spirit. Of course, if these self-care activities don’t resonate with you, just make sure you’re doing some kind of self-care for yourself as self-care is very important!
Mind: Learn a creative new skill.3 This can literally be anything that you find creative. Maybe you’ve been wanting to pick up a new hobby. This is a great time for that!
Body: Fuse fitness and fun.4 Fitness is great for the health and body to do it’s job. But how can you make it fun? Beach volleyball. A dance class. Frisbee in the park. Maybe you have pet you can have fun with. Skiing. I guess just doing something for you that you find fun is what then make the fitness part of it fun.
Spirit: Promote creativity and new ideas in your work space.5 You can do this with crystals that promote these themes, affirmations that boost creativity and confidence in one-self, and cute little note taking pads to write down your ideas as they strike. You can even organize your office space in a way that is helpful for you to boost your focus.
Until next week, have a good one!
