Welcome back to another Cozy Tarot Reading! How was everyone’s week?
I had the most unpleasant week. Oof. Hopefully, this week will be way more pleasant. I know that a new deck I ordered is coming, so that’s a good start (always).
Now let's get into the reading!
Cozy tarot Sunday is a week a head reading that I post every Sunday! The reading encompasses a focus for the week, a way to embrace the focus, a challenge to overcome, and a card for self-care for the week.
For the month of February, I’ll be using the Song of the Grandmothers Oracle by Kara Simons and illustrated by Mari in the Sky. This will be paired with The Gentle Tarot by Mari in the Sky.
As always for the self-care portion of the reading, I’ll be sharing the self-care activities from the book Tarot for Self-Care by Minerva Siegel and published by Adams Media.

1- Focus for the week. Grandmother Sunflower - nourishment
This week is all about self-care and self-love. Grandmother sunflower is asking you to think about what you need to nourish yourself in a loving and caring way? What are you missing that can bring you sunshine and happiness? Focus on that this week. You will feel so much happier within yourself.
2- How to embrace the focus? 6 of cups
You know what’s funny? This card was pulled last week for the challenge position in this spread, and here we have it again, but for the embrace position. The 6 of cups is all about the innocence of the inner child. You know how to can embrace self-care and self-love is by nourishing your inner child this week. Bring that happiness and sunshine (and maybe even butterflies) to that innocent part of you. Just let it free.
3- A challenge of the week. Harvest (king) of wands
With the king of wands you don’t want to force yourself to make yourself happy, which could be a challenge if you’re so focused on that. Things need to happen naturally. With the 6 of cups you want to to go with the flow of things, but you also want to bring that king of wands energy in and just look at things from a bigger picture, like the grand scheme of things. Think about how things could be if you cared for yourself more, loved yourself more, paid more attention to yourself, and just was there for yourself, didn’t ignore yourself and your feelings. If you look at it from this perspective, you can allow yourself to do things more naturally without having think or force things.
4- Self-care of the week. Temperance
The self-care activities are in terms of mind, body, and spirit. Of course, if these self-care activities don’t resonate with you, just make sure you’re doing some kind of self-care for yourself as self-care is very important!
Mind: Be mindful of your social media use.2 While social media can be great for socializing and sharing posts to be close to others, we can also be trapped by that endless scrolling and negative mindsets that social media can bring into our lives. Set boundaries and limits for yourself on how much social media you’re using, and unfollow or block people that bring down your energy. Do what’s best for you.
Body: Make sure you have a well-balanced diet.3 It’s great to have a well-balanced diet to make sure you’re getting all the nutrients you need. So, make sure to eat all your fruits and veggies!
Spirit: Practice mindfulness through emotional balance.4 Try keeping a journal to write about your feelings and explore them in a safe and healthy manner.
Until next week, have a good one!
