Welcome back to another Cozy Tarot Sunday reading! How was your last week?
Let me know in the comments!
Cozy tarot Sunday is a week a head reading that I post every Sunday! The reading encompasses a focus for the week, a way to embrace the focus, a challenge to overcome, and a card for self-care for the week.
For the month of January, I’ll be using my Practical Magic Inner Witch Oracle & Tarot by Joseph Benitez-Egerton, who owns Grounded by the Moon.
As always for the self-care portion of the reading, I’ll be sharing the self-care activities from the book Tarot for Self-Care by Minerva Siegel and published by Adams Media.
Using the link above is a great way to support me, this publication, and my YouTube channel.
1- Focus for the week. Garden gate - possibilities
So, there’s two possibilities (
see what I did there? ahaha), either you’re making own your possibilities this week or there are possibilities that will be coming your way this week. Whichever it is you want to be open to the possibilities because they could be the step through thedoor, or garden gate in this case, that you need, have been hoping for, or have been wanting.
2- How to embrace the focus? 4 of air (swords)
You want to be ready and focused. So, spend some time re-balancing, re-focusing, and get some much needed rest for what is to come. When your mind is more aligned, you’re more able to focus at the possibilities that you are creating or the ones that appear to you with a clear and open mind.
3- A challenge of the week. 3 of fire (wands)
I feel like the 3 of wands is more the reversed energy in this position. You may en up getting frustrated with the lack of progress or the obstacles that appear during this time. But perhaps if you take in that 4 of swords energy, you’ll be able to readjust and look ahead to the bigger picture of things. Obstacles can provide you with life lessons that further your growth and increase your confidence in handling unexpected problems that may come up.
4- Self-care of the week. 6 of fire (wands)
The self-care activities are in terms of mind, body, and spirit. Of course, if these self-care activities don’t resonate with you, just make sure you’re doing some kind of self-care for yourself as self-care is very important!
Mind: Note the things that make you happiest. In a fun, brightly colored journal, write down at least one thing that makes you happy each day.1 Such an easy and fun way to self-care by journaling and connecting with your memories.
Body: Find a silly vintage workout video and have fun exercising at home.2 Haha, the videos from the 70s and 80s are the best and so fun!
Spirit: Prevent energy blockages by acknowledging your emotions. Express them in healthy ways, like talking through things in a therapy session.3 I know therapy can be expensive, you can try finding free services at local community centers or pay scale options through local organizations. Also, if you wanted to do something at home, writing a letter to yourself expressing your feelings is very helpful and cathartic.
Until next week, have a good one!
