Night Five of Hanukkah
Night five of Hanukkah is all about love! Now, who doesn’t love love? Love for oneself and love for others, and love for everyone!
Can we guess which deck I’m using? … That’s right my Sefirot Tarot by Eliot Baum, Georg Hobmeier, Viv Tanner, and James Patton, and published by Hay House. Are we even surprised? Though, I really love this deck.
1- How can I show myself more self-love? Knight of cups
I feel like with the knight of cups, I need to make sure that I’m not setting unrealistic expectations for myself in relation to self-love, and more so, doing stuff for myself in the present moment rather than pushing it to later. And by unrealistic expectations, I mean, like needing to do all these fancy that might not be attenable or realistic for me. That’s why more simplistic in the moment would be easier and more fulfilling.
2- How can I show others I care about more love? 3 of swords
Damn, what a card to get for this question. I would say that the 3 of swords is saying that love shouldn’t be forced and that you’ll know in the moment how to show more love towards others. I would say allowing the other person, who you care for, to open up, not repress their emotions, and just showing that you’re there and care through thick and thin can definitely show your love.
3- What can I do to make sure there is balance between love I give myself and the love I give others? 3 of cups
I feel like it all has to do with happiness. Knowing when I’m happy in either situation, but also knowing when I’m not happy, and when I’m not happy needing to focus on the opposite thing. For example, if I didn’t feel sociable and wanted to be by myself, I know I wouldn’t be happy with others, which means I probably wouldn’t show much love. Vice versa also applies. So, I just need to pay attention how I’m feeling in a given moment and just listen to that!
This was a tough reading tonight, I really needed to sit and think about these cards because at first they weren’t making much sense. But I totally get them now.
Come back tomorrow for night six!
