Night Four of Hanukkah
Night four! Here we GOOOOOOO! We’re half way through Hanukkah, things have been super shadow work-y for me, which I’m not mad at… But oof, let’s calm down a bit.
The theme of night four is that of freedom, which reminds us to take responsibility for our lives, which I based the spread around.
I’ll still be using my Sefirot Tarot by Eliot Baum, Georg Hobmeier, Viv Tanner, and James Patton, and published by Hay House.
1- What does it mean to be free? 7 of cups
Wow, this card is absolutely perfect for this question. To be free means to have your own choices, to make your own decisions, and to be able to dream opportunities, but have them potentially come to fruition.
2- How can this be applied to my life right now? Queen of swords
I think, for me, it’s about applying this logically. Many choices or decisions should be worked through logically to choose what would be the best option for me. Typically, when I have decisions to make that’s exactly what I do because for me it helps me to think about the bigger picture and where each choice is headed in a way.
3- What challenge could get in the way? The devil
With the devil, I feel like I could be potentially be trapped by my decisions. The expression, “You made your bed, now lie in it” came to mind when I was thinking about my interpretation of this in relation to this question. It’s like there’s no turning back, you’re in it for the long haul. And I think the devil can be very sneaky like that. But I also feel like the metaphorical shackles are of my own making. Yes, I made my bed, and yes, now I have to lie in it, but is that actually such a bad thing or am I letting my mind take over and allow me to think it’s a bad thing?
4- How can I overcome this challenge? 9 of pentacles
I think it’s just about growth. Growing through challenges or obstacles, and just learning from them. I feel like when I do that, I learn more and gain more than I would have if I hadn’t gone through these trials.
Not a bad reading, if I say so myself! I have to say that I have been really enjoying using this deck in this practice! It has been super fulfilling getting to know it a bit more and getting used to the pip style of it.
Join me for the next night of Hanukkah!
